SAMBA DANCE STEPS
Samba is a tale of two dances, in Brazil and in the rest of the world. In Brazil Samba is done in carnival style by women in headdresses and is done as a solo exhibition dance and in night clubs very similar to salsa. The rest of the world daces it as a Latin dance done in competitions and night clubs alike. Walking steps and side steps are the basic component of samba with a bounce action. Steps are taken using the ball of the foot, knee action with body sway and pendulum motions are used by the more advanced dancers.
